【摘要】:Becauseoftheassociationwithleadandarsenicinindustry,itisoftendifficulttoassessthetoxicityofantimonyanditscompounds.Inhumans,complaintsreferabletothenervoussystemhavebeenreported.Inassessinghumancases,however,thepossibilityofleadorarsenicpoisoningmustalwaysbeborneinmind.Locally,antimonycompoundsareirritatingtotheskinandmucousmembranes.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofdissolvedandtotalrecoverableantimonyinwaterbyatomicabsorptionspectroscopy.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableintherangefrom1to15g/Lofantimony.Therangemaybeextendedbylessscaleexpansionorbydilutionofthesample.1.3Theprecisionandbiasdatawereobtainedonreagentwater,tapwater,saltwater,andtwountreatedwastewaters.Theinformationonprecisionandbiasmaynotapplytootherwaters.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
